About Bonnie Boon

My name is actually Bee Skelton!  I can still remember my first piece of knitting when I was 4 years old! It was a blue scarf, full of unintentional holes, that I struggled to make from blue angora reclaimed from some other garment. It was not a masterpiece :( But the thrill of transforming a ball of yarn stays with me to this day. My Granny Boon taught me to knit, later to crochet too. So it is in her honor I named my little shop of handmade textiles.

There is no end to the possibilities of what can be made with thread and fibers. Design work is going on behind the scenes. I'll be showing new items as they are created.

I began working with textiles commercially many years ago, when I designed projects for needle craft magazines. In recent times my main work is as a painter (see https://www.etsy.com/shop/StudioBee ) for which I prefer natural daylight. Making for my Bonnie Boon shop is my relaxation; something I do for love and fun as often as I can when the sun goes down :)
